Message The boost gauge is an instrument reading pressure, you want its display range to fit the range you're boosting, for increased precison. Added headroom is useless. With the injectors however, operating below their max output provides better response. The longer you operate an injector close to 100% duty cycle, the shorter the life expectancy.

I had 740s with stock turbos on my silver Z (big plans) and it still idled fine with a slight AFC adjustment.
